JOB OVERVIEW:
Report to V.P. Operations. Manage all aspects of Multi-DC/Warehouse planning and
scheduling, inventory control, shipping and receiving, fleet delivery, and
manpower for the state. Design and execute strategies and plans and capital
expenditures to meet short-term and long-term supply chain management,
distribution and delivery requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs and coordinates the activities of 5 center managers, 2 sales managers,
and 80 DSD drivers over 6 locations.
Responsible for processing sales orders to generate and distribute pick tickets,
coordinate the tagging & labeling of product, inventory control, shipping and
receiving, facilities, staging areas, safe operation of lifting, moving
equipment and delivery equipment, quality and quantity control of staged
materials, loading operations, and the efficient scheduling and
routing/re-routing of delivery vehicles in line with best practices of fleet
management.
This position is accountable for clear, timely communication and
paperwork during the “full cycle” of the process (from sales order reception to
product return).
Plans, coordinates, and supervises the administration of the process of
receiving sales orders and the conversion into picking orders.
Plans delivery by organizing truck loads and routing schedules.
Manages delivery/pickup/returns in accordance with service policy in
coordination with the customer and sales department.

contact.
Manages selection and staging of both individual and palletized loads.
Oversees the staging/ loading of kegs, pallets & boxes onto trailers and
oversees the preparation of delivery documents for truckers.
Insures the delivery, repair, procurement, recovery of all warehouse, racking &
conveyor systems and warehouse rationalization.
Manages all manpower requirements to insure the hiring, retention, training and
safe and efficient performance of high quality employees.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND
TRAINING:
Solid analytical skills, excellent communication skills (oral and written),
knowledge of computerized routing systems, ability to work well with others,
self-motivated, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, ability
to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. in Business Management, Industrial Management or related field; Minimum
seven years experience in a Distribution, Warehousing, Receiving, Inventory
Control, or Materials Management in a beverage distribution environment.
