Seeking a person that is a promotable leader.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Team Leader ready for the
next level. Someone who has worked in a High performance environment and has
used Lean Mfg, CI, or Six Sigma tools. They would be the "go to" person on
quality and process improvement. Must be enthusiastic, results-driven, with a
passion for business.
Responsibilities:
Develop production
schedules; monitor execution of operations; analyze production performance and
implement performance improvement initiatives; establishes priorities and
sequences. Ensure achievement of production goals. Project management, Six
Sigma, Lean or other Continuous Improvement tools are a plus.
Knowledge of safe work best
practices. Interprets safety policies, procedures and regulations; familiarizes
direct reports and team members. Ensures a safe working environment.
Manages the in-production
product inspections and audits; ensures adherence to quality standards.
Reviews production and operating reports; resolves operational, manufacturing,
and maintenance problems to minimize cost and operational delays.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists team members in solving work
problems. Troubleshoots unusual or difficult issues requiring coordination and
communication across cross-functional departments; subject matter expert on
quality and/or process improvement.
Develops, coaches and/or mentors direct reports and team members. Conducts
departmental staff meetings and familiarizes team with policies and practices.
Communicates daily production performance and day-to-day issues.
Be a technical resource for your team members. Recommend measures to improve
production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Ensure
timely and accurate implementation to change and drive the change initiative
across areas that you are responsible for.
Prepares and monitors performance records; tracks KPI’s.
Motivate your team by conducting performance evaluations, coaching for
improvement, showing patterns of learning and enrichment, recommend salary
adjustments and promotions, and initiate plans to show your team members why
they should achieve work goals.
Manage schedules, overtime and time-off in a responsible manner to the business.
Be a collaborator with Management to coordinate activities between and across
shifts and departments.
Ensures established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met or
exceeded. Participates in budget development; implements and controls approved
budgets.
Participates and/or leads projects as assigned.
