National beverage company is looking for a Production Manager for one of its facilities located in the Midwest.
Position manages the daily operations of the packaging department that can operate 24 hours/day. This position is responsible for efficient, safe and profitable operation of the Finished Products area. This includes coordinating plans with scheduling, maintenance, shipping, and quality departments. Assist in coordinating and communicating an optimal production schedule.
This position also has responsibility for the implementation of HACCP and quality systems in the Packaging department.
Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or Engineering and 7-10 years experience in Operations Management with food manufacturing.
Leadership experience at staff level, having had salaried people as direct reports
Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques.
