We are seeking a Process & Technology professional for a growing food processing company located in the NorthEast. This person will be responsible for identifying and performing process and technology development/application activities, identify and allocate resources, and manage technology demonstration and development projects from concept through validation.  Facilitate the generation of new technology concepts and ideas within the company and seek out emerging technologies of value to the company.
Provide direction, technical expertise, critical thinking, and technology development knowledge to the Engineering Group.  Serve as technology development consultant to our manufacturing plants, customers, and suppliers. Serve as technical resource to others investigating and developing technologies. Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and service vendors to encourage technology development and make Keystone a preferred technology partner.  Routinely meet with plant and operations and support personnel to encourage and facilitate the generation of ideas and identification of opportunities for new technology application.
**Engineering degree, 15 years experience, high interest in leading edge and over the horizon technology... Travel required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Translation of new product concepts to product prototypes at bakery/laboratory level.
Scale up from prototype to large scale production level.
Train production Associates as needed to replicate R&D Samples in a production environment.
Function as a key team member to move Company into new markets and new products in existing markets.
Together with Production personnel and other R&D personnel, help resolve product problems at both client and internal levels.
Support Sales and Marketing in aiding in the areas of new sample requests, questions from the field, and competitive product cuttings.
Additional responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/ABILITY REQUIRED
Expertise in baking and ingredient functionality.  Minimal educational experience equivalent to the level generally associated with a graduate of AIB’s “Baking Science and Technology Course” (or “Resident Course”) and/or Bachelors Degree in Food Science or related fields of study.  Masters degree preferred.
Significant Experience in product development in the Food Service Area
Strength in organizing information and handling multiple projects.
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in written form.
Ability to understand chemistry, microbiology, and related sciences at a level sufficient to communicate and problem-solve with other R&D personnel.
Knowledgeable of the Microsoft Office suite of applications programs.
Ability to perform general office lifting and physical requirements.

Scientist / Formulator, Enhanced Beverages

Seeking a Scientist/Formulator position in a rapidly growing Beverage Company. Knowledge of Vitamin-Enriched, Structured Water Products helpful.

Position requires previous formulation and laboratory experience working with nutraceutical and other food and beverage ingredients.  Prefer benchtop experience in the laboratory and familiarity in some physical and analytical testing along with microbiological testing. 
Person will be responsible in developing new formulations for new and innovative beverage products and food products.  Also you will be required to spend time in the laboratory with other scientists as well as handling project management. 
Knowledge in administrative duties and skills in all Microsoft Office programs a necessity.
