To be responsible for actively managing any number of projects assigned to the group.  This will include supervision of staff, directing activity, evaluating recommendations and reporting results, with recommendations.
Will work closely with operations personnel when introducing new products or processes into production developed in the Research & Development Group.
Organize plant trials, interpret the results and assist in process development.
Person has to have excellent interpersonal skills.
Work with plant, operations & engineering in conducting feasibility studies pertaining to new product development and product improvement
Will be very familiar with all aspects of manufacturing of the company products.  This includes but is not limited to: raw materials, production techniques, specifications, packaging, shelf life, etc.  Will continually be exploring and evaluating ways to improve all aspects of production.
Will troubleshoot technical production problems or situations requiring technical expertise on our current product lines.
Provides technical assistance/support to Operations, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales as required.  May participate in direct customer discussions/visits as necessary.
Responsible for all support activities including maintaining notes and records of activity.  May be involved in participating in patent activity.  Will ensure that all findings are properly documented and recorded.
Will be involved in Quality Assurance activities involving any number of issues or concerns.  This may include activities such as, HACCP analysis, good manufacturing practices, labeling, standards of identity etc.
Will work with operations on a variety of projects regarding product or production activities.
Will develop and maintain both industry and academic contacts to remain current in regard to technical developments.  This would include presenting technical papers and activity participating in trade groups and associations.
